Role overview
Vett helps law firms run conflict screening across directory, matters, and documents. As CTO you set technical direction, lead a lean engineering team, and partner with product and customer success on delivery, reliability, and security.
What you will own
- Platform architecture on our stack (TypeScript, Next.js, Postgres/Prisma, cloud infra).
- Security and access patterns appropriate for law-firm customers (SSO roadmap, auditability).
- AI and data pipelines supporting document ingestion, search, and screening workflows.
- Hiring, mentoring, and operating cadence for a high-trust engineering culture.
What we are looking for
- Staff-plus or director-level experience shipping B2B SaaS in production.
- Comfort owning backend, frontend, and infra tradeoffs in a small team.
- Bonus: exposure to legal technology, regulated data, or document-heavy search products.
